    @stevesux:
    Hi there!
    Thanx for your feedback!

    The plugin does absolutely nothing with BP notifications – not with BP 1.5 and not with BP 1.6! I assume it’s another plugin or maybe theme conflict?

    I just tested with current version 1.1 and can’t reproduce this!

    Also note, that my plugin does not affect in any way the “BuddyBar” which shows currently on the frontend (up to BP 1.5).

    Can you give some more info on how this appeared or what you did? Any URL handy?

    Thanks for the quick response David!

    I assumed the culprit was buddypress toolbar because it was the first plugin I deactivated and it returned notifications. I’m currently remaking my website motorcityrocks.com (it’s in coming soon mode), will be live on Monday.

    I seriously have 50 plugins running and am hammering out the bugs, so it could be a combination of things. I’m using the theme VOLT which seems kind of janky and not too compatible with bp.

    I just reactivated Buddypress Toolbar and sent myself a message from another account. This is how it appears (or doesn’t appear) http://imgur.com/D6gS4

    It’s really strange and still can’t reproduce this: just tested with a copy of the Volt theme (v1.6) on a test site and it worked like a charm!

    See the screenshots: http://ow.ly/i/z1Mc/original (notification on frontend)

    and: http://ow.ly/i/z1MJ/original (the used theme and my plugin active in backend at the same time)

    I assume it might be a CSS conflict if you have some other styling?

    Since I have no clue yet what the reason is for that I’ll ask you for some test account so I might take a look myself in your install – of course only if possible for you. You can contact me at: http://genesisthemes.de/en/contact/

    Thanx, Dave 🙂

    Me too, the toolbar did not show up on my site either. My site url is, http://buddygalaxy.com.

    @sobuddy:

    Thanks for your feedback!

    I can only say what I said above already: my plugin does nothing with the so-called “BuddyBar” that is enabled up to BuddyPress 1.5 branch – also it does nothing with any BP notifications. My plugin only hooks in the WORDPRESS toolbar. So as long as you use BuddyPress up to 1.5 branch you can only see my plugin in the backend (wp-admin) and if you have the administrator user role. If your install has other plugins or code snippets active that do change the toolbar behavior that might be a reason for it not showing up.

    Are you admin or super admin on your site?

    If nothing helps you might give me some backend access so I could test myself (only if you want!), see contact details in my post above here.

    Thanks, Dave 🙂
