BuddyPress Status Feed Plugin displaying last ten updates

Help finding a suitable plugin:
I have been searching for a status feed plugin that performs similar functionality as a twitter feed.

I want a user to write a “status update” that is output to a list that displays the most recent status first, and then each subsequent previous update up to 5 or 10.

If anyone has seen a plugin like this – I would love to hear about it. I feel like i am going in circles looking.
