[resolved] Browsing (next/prev) within a category doesn't work logically (1 post)

    Hello,

I recently discovered that browsing a category (i.e. clicking next/prev) after clicking one of the postings on a category page, results in the same experience browsing as the complete set of posts.

What I would like to see, is that I click a category (or whatever sub set), get a category (result) page, and when I click one of the postings I get a ‘detail page’ from where I can browse (next/prev) through the subset (category).

So it is necessary that the (detail) page ‘knows’ if the visitor either comes from the main overview or a category page, and in the last case, what the previous or next pages within that category are.

I think it should work the same with months, but as I understood, months are considered a special form of category?

Is there a way to either hack WordPress or does a plug-in exists that can provide me with this functionality?

    Thanks in advance,

    Igor
