[resolved] Broken RSS Feed after WordPress Directory Move (3 posts)

    Hi there,

I've just moved my wordpress installation to the root of my web server from it's own directory called /blog, leaving all the files where they were and moving index.php and .htaccess to the root. Everything is working fine except my feed URL has changed from dj-moose.co.uk/blog/?feed=rss2 to dj-moose.co.uk/?feed=rss2

This is all fine except it's broken my iTunes podcast feed (I use PodPress for this). Is there any way I can continue to use the original RSS feed or will I have to get in touch with iTunes to change my feed location?

Any help would be gratefully received as I've lost all my iTunes subscribers for the moment...

    Cheers,

    Rory

Yes, there is relative simple solution:
Put your new podcast URL into the field "Podcast Feed URL" at the "iTunes/feed settings" of podPress and activate iTunes:New-Feed-Url for 2-3 weeks (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#changing). The iTunes server will recognize the new URL and update his database.

(Maybe have a look to this thread http://wordpress.org/support/topic/249345)

Yep, thanks for that! I also had an errant .htaccess file in the old directory which was screwing up PodPress. Thanks for that
