I feel like this happens whenever I upgrade wordpress or edit themes, at distant enough intervals that I forget what the problem was last time I fixed it.

So, I have a long post and want to use <!–nextpage–> to split it up.

The problem; the whole post displays. The page links are still present at the base of the post, though clicking on the links doesn’t do much. How do I get these stupid tags to behave appropriately again?

  • Never had a problem with <!--nextpage--> here. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

I had tried that – save for the one plugin that broke it. Apparently Advanced Fancybox isn’t so fancy. Breaks pages. That’s stupid.

Thanks for reminding me to be thorough.
