I know HTML and still can't get my image to show up. I used the string that WP gave me when I uploaded. It still shows nothing but a red x where the image should be.
When I add my subdirectory to the path, it shows the subdirectory twice. Please help.

It may be easier to help if we have a link.

For some reason it looks for the image here:
    http://asndesign.com/wp-content/DSCN1236.JPG
and it cannot find, of course.
What are the values in the the URI fields in your Options?

This is the URI in the options for both the blog address and the WordPress address

    http://www.asndesign.com/countrymom

    Thanks.

Strangely, I noticed that when I do post editing in IE, my images path works fine.. but when I use firefox to edit posts with images in there, it addes the extra wp-content or wp-admin to it for some reason. I had to go back to editing posts in ie because of it.

Try to delete the leading slash [/] in front of wp-content in Options > Miscell > URI for upload.
I don't know why, but it works for me.

Thanks all. Its working; I'm not quite clear why, but it is. I took out the [/] but it still didn't work; then I deleted 'wp-content' from my image tag, still didn't work; when I put it back in , it did.. go figure.
