@flag: NGG was well tested against 3.9 and is working for most users fine. So if there’s an issue, it’s likely to be somethings specific. It sounds like you are having an issue with lightboxes not opening. Try changing lightboxes at Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects. If that doesn’t work, try clicking the reset button at Gallery > Other Options > Misc. Resetting will return all setting to default. It won’t affect your galleries, but you’ll need to go back through and re-adjust any global options settings to your preferences.
@flag – Just following up on some old reviews.
As you know this review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0. At this point, most issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed. I highly suspect that your lightbox issue is one of those that’s been addressed for a long, long time.
I’m not sure if you’ve used NextGEN lately, but given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?
