Hey all!
I'm in desperate need of some good advice...
I finally upgraded my version of WP today after being urged in my control panel for months. I don't remember clicking upgrade, but I must have because today I went to log in and recieved this message:
"Database Upgrade Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to upgrade your database to the newest version.
The upgrade process may take a little while, so please be patient."
When I click "Upgrade WordPress Database" I get a long stream of errors, all of them beginning with "WordPress database error: [Table './nakedba_wrdp2/wp_options' is marked as crashed and should be repaired]"
I took a peek at my blog, and sure enough it's wonky. Fortunately, most of the content is still there - it's just not appearing correctly.
It looks like every single apostrophe (both ' and ") is now preceeded by a backlash - both in the code and as it appears on the published page.
I'm quite nervous at this point, as I'm sure you can imagine. I have years worth of editorial content, my entire professional portfolio...
Has anybody else experienced this?
Thanks so much!!
