    Hey guys,

    i’m using P2 Theme with the frontend postform on a subblog.
    i’m searching for a solution of how to broadcast a post written in P2 post-form to another blog (in this case my main blog)

    Some kind of checkbox. In case it is checked the post will be broadcasted to the other blog.

    Any ideas?

  • You’ll have to code it. 🙂

    there’s a plugin to do this from the *backend* – but not from the front.

    Hey Andrea,
    thanks for your reply. I already found these two plugins. And as you said i guess i have to code it. I tried using the multipost-mu but didnt manage to implement it into p2.
    Im not really experienced in php coding. I was copying code back and forth.
    I wont give up. Maybe i should start learning php.

    are both blogs running the p2 theme?

    Do you need those new posts to load inline without a page refresh on the other blog as the P2 theme does?

    One solution that requires no coding is to tag the posts you want to appear elsewhere and grab that tag’s rss feed, then import it with something like feedwordpress (http://feedwordpress.radgeek.com/).

    No, on the second blog id like to use a custom theme. The post do not have to be loaded inline.

    I have a small community in a closed blog using P2 theme. This blog is meant to be secret.

    If there is anything to say to the world my users shall have the option (a checkbox) to publish a post which was written in the secret blog with P2 theme to a public blog (the second blog with the custom theme). The public posts do not have to appear in the secret blog once they were defined to be published on the second blog.
    On the public blog unregistered users can comment the published posts.

    I know that this is possible in the backend with the plugins. But i do not want my users to use the backend.

    I’m heavliy trying to get all this php stuff and am willing to code – its hard though.
    Thanks for all your answers.

    Is there a plugin that broadcasts posts by categroy?

    Perhaps one of these:

    Broadcast a post/page to other blogs. Whitelist, blacklist, groups and automatic category+tag posting/creation available.
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/threewp-broadcast/

    Allows you to duplicate posts and pages to multiple sub-blogs at once.
    * http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multipost-mu/
