Brilliant!

This plug-in solved a headache nagging me for weeks:

The power to widgetize custom text and images allows display of more than one unique sidebar on the same page–or even more than one custom widget in the same sidebar.

I was a bit leery of “content block” [a new term]. No problem–it’s easier done than said. There’s nothing TO it, you just DO it!
