Breaking Up Long URLs in Post

I am trying to find a way to break up long permalink URLs inside my posts (as opposed to in comments). Specifically, many high school & college students use my posts for their research so to encourage them at properly cite my posts in their paper, at the end of my post I give a “suggested reference” that includes the full permalink URL of that post, such as http://www.asian-nation.org/headlines/2009/01/airport-security-complexities-asian-american-identity/.

The problem is that since the URL is so long, it breaks my page layout. Is there a way to force the URL to be broken up so that it wraps into two lines? I don’t want to truncate it (I need to show the full URL), just break it into two lines. Thanks!
