I have no idea how this could be related, but earlier this week I noticed the “set featured media” bit in the post authoring screen is empty when opened, and when going through the plugin troubleshooting process, turning off The Events Calendar was the only thing that got images to show back up.

Any thoughts on what the connection might be?

(I recently upgraded to WP 3.7.1, but this was the case in 3.6.1 as well.)

(And fwiw, I’m one of the people who’ve gotten the “The plugin generated xx characters of unexpected output” message upon reactivating.)

There’s also a possibly related quirk that “<div class=”tribe-events-event-categories”> </div>” is output as the very first line on every single page (public and wp-admin), before the DOCTYPE declaration even.

Final note: this problem does not occur with The Events Calendar versions 3.0.2 or 3.0.3. So it’s related to 3.1.

Just checking in to see if this issue is being explored…

Consider this resolved. It’s working after I noticed .tribe-events-event-categories was an item in my custom.css, indicating to me I needed to double-check some related code.

OK – sounds like you are all sorted here and apologies for the delay in responding (we possibly missed you on last week’s sweep by a narrow margin).

    Thanks again!
