Breaking Comments Into Pages Doesn't Work - What am I Doing Wrong? (7 posts)

This is on v2.7 - I seem to have very responsive readers and many of my posts have 100+ comments (busier ones have 300+). I've been trying to find a solution and paginate the comments, but nothing seems to work. Is it because of theme I am using or am I doing something different wrong?

Setting up pagination on WP Discussion Settings page does absolutely nothing. I've tried two of the plug ins (Paginated Comments and Paged Comments) each of which did break the comments into pages, but clicking on any other page always redirects to a current page with just latest few comments displayed. Both plug ins do the same thing so I'm assuming it's either me who does something wrong or perhaps my theme has issue with that.

Any way to help me out? What am I doing wrong?

Ditto here. Thought it was the WP version--I was running 2.6.3. Upgraded to latest, 2.7.1, still nothing. For me, this plug-in is a complete dud.

I'm having the same problem with v2.7
Has anyone found the solution yet. If yes, please be kind enough to share with everybody else.

    Thank you.

I have not been able to make this work at all despite trying since. I have upgraded twice since and am on v2.8 now, yet pagination for comments doesn't work at all. Truly a frustrating issue since I got posts with 700+ comments by now and it both takes a while to load and puts lots of strain on the server :(

The theme you're using has to support these new features in order for threading and pagination to work.
