Many people in my situation (Running Simple:Press Forum, instead of the BBpress forums with their buddypress install) may find this useful, but a bit complex.
Calmly waiting for future versions with SiteAdmin controls, rather than editing php, before recommending it as a "Required add-on" in the Simple:Press Forum's Support Forum.
