    Here’s what’s going on.

Right now, when I add a Custom Widget to the Bottom Widget Area, it spans the entire grid12. When I add another Custom Widget (without using a Widget Divider), that Widget goes underneath the first Custom Widget. Now, I want to add a third Custom Widget with a divider between the 2nd and 3rd Custom Widgets, with the hopeful scenario being that the 2nd and 3rd Custom Widgets align BELOW the 1st Custom Widget. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case.

What I am getting is Custom 1 and Custom 3 aligning next too each other with Custom 2 underneath both… make sense?

How can I make it so that Custom 1 is on top and Custom 2 and Custom 3 are underneath, aligned next to each other (one on the left, the other on the right).

    Thanks!

    Hi,

In Gantry 4 the only way to achieve this is to use separate widget positions. If you don’t want to use the existing ones you can simply edit the templateDetails.xml and index.php files and add your own *extra* position that would hold either that one grid12 widget or two columns with other widgets.

    Thanks,

He says… two months later and a month and a half after the project is done. I went back to the Joomla Gantry product to get the job done, just not enough play on the WP side of things.

Thanks for the response though, maybe it will help someone else!

Sorry about the delay 🙂 The mechanism of the layouts is the same for WordPress and Joomla so actually the solution i posted above should apply to both – WP has nothing to do here 😉

    Thanks!
