Board Member Role Type Not Available

This plugin looks great, but the instructions say to add a new user and to choose Board Member as the Role Type. But that role type isn’t available. I only see the normal roles–Subscriber, Contributor, Author, etc.

Thanks a lot for reaching out. I’m sorry you’re not able to add board members. A couple of questions:

– After you installed the plugin were you able to activate it?
– Did any error messages show up?
– Are you able to see the “Board Mgmt” menu on the left-hand side in the WordPress admin area?

OK, I think I figured out the problem. I was trying to run this on a Multisite install. When I installed on a regular WP installation (3.5.2), it works. So I guess it doesn’t work with Multisite? Darn!

To answer your questions, I was able to activate it, I did not receive an error, and I was able to see the Board Mgmt menu.

I happen to run a network that hosts several non-profit boards–so you can imagine my delight to see this brand new plugin. 🙂

If you’re interested in making this work for Multisite and need a tester, let me know!

That makes total sense. The plugin isn’t yet tested for multisite, but it’s definitely in our future plans. When we get there I’ll make sure to post back on this thread.
