Blurry images! (7 posts)

Hi, I know this issue has been raised before; I've researched advice but still can't seem to resolve the issue. When I upload images to Media on the WP Avada template and insert them into a portfolio they appear fine. When I preview the page the images appear "softer" and slightly out of focus. I've tried uploading the images in various resolutions but still no change. I notice that WP "crunches" the images when they are uploaded to the Media; could this be affecting them? Appreciate any help on this frustrating issue, thanks.

An update to this issue: I've discovered if I upload the image from the Media gallery at "full size" into the portfolio, at appears huge. But when I preview the page, it displays the image as "medium" format, i.e. 700 x 1054 (which I want) and the image is actually sharp. Is this a simple solution or are there side affects, i.e. long loading times for viewers to the page given the full file sizes? Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this topic.

What happens if you revert to Twenty Twelve theme (temporarily)? Do you have images blurry?

Can you login to dashboard? If yes, go to appearance > themes and in themes displayed there, click on activate (below Twenty Twelve).

Ok, I can see that. If I activate Twenty Twelve, will I lose the work created in the Avada theme? Why would I need the Twenty Twelve theme when Avada is the template I chose to build my site?

It is just test if the problem is theme related. If you don't want to do that, it's quite okay.

By the way, I do not find the theme in WordPress repository. Where did you buy that from?
