• Within the past day, I’ve noticed that any new photos I upload (specifically digital graphics) have now started to appear blurry or “fuzzy”. I am using PNG files that I resize to the exact size I want, but no matter what I try, they now are blurry.

A good example is this page: http://www.squishycutedesigns.com/little-stitchy-embroidery-contest/
You can see how blurry the header looks when compared to our website’s header, for example. (I uploaded this image just today).

One other example can be found here: http://www.squishycutedesigns.com/free-printable-embroidery-patterns-jennifer-smith/
The header (Little Stitchy Collection) and the “Artist Spotlight” image further down are both very clear, and these are images I uploaded a day or two ago. But today I uploaded the long narrow image in between (Enter our contest) and you can see the difference in how blurry it is.

I’ve driven myself crazy trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong all of a sudden, but I really don’t know. I’ve done nothing different in how I create my images and upload them. And I’ve tried deleting and re-uploading images many time, with no luck. Any advice would be SO appreciated!!

    Thank you in advance!!

  • I went to the Jennifer Smith page and everything looked sharp to me. In fact, I increased the zoom setting on my browser and did a screen capture of the Little Stitchy graphic together with the Enter Our Contest graphic, and I actually thought the latter was sharper than the former. Maybe your browser isn’t loading

Hmm, very interesting!….Thank you so much for going to the trouble to look into this for me! I use Chrome, so I wonder if it’s a change in the browser settings somehow (an update that made it do this)? I hadn’t even thought of browsers making a difference, so I opened up Firefox, and viewed the pages…it does seem better! That’s odd, I wonder why all of a sudden Chrome would start displaying images at a less clear resolution. But then again, I don’t know much about browsers, or computers for that matter!! 😛

Well, I guess I will stop worrying about it then…Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this!! I REALLY appreciate it, because it was driving me crazy! At least I know that other people are probably seeing it clearly.

Thank you SO much again for your help!!! 🙂
