    Good Morning,

I'm having problems with podcast. I have about 20 podcats on my site and it displays in all of them but 2. The ones presenting problems are June 19th and August 2nd. Is this a common problem?

Can you share the URL to your web site so I can see? URL to your podcast feed would help as well.

Looks like you are using categories for your site navigation, and from looking at your main feed, I see the august 2nd post is not associated with the "podcast" category.

Fix the category association to those 2 posts and you should be golden.

Side note, if you do not plan on adding additional podcast programs to your site, I would recommend you give podcast directories like iTunes your podcast only feed (http://wis-helpdesk.com/feed/podcast/). It will not care about the category, and on the flip side, does not include blog posts without media so it maximizes your exposure on iTunes and most all other podcast apps and directories.

On my end I can see that both post have the "podcast" category though. Where should I be looking for the categories? any other places beside inside the posts?

There is something wrong then, because I can look at your feed (http://wis-helpdesk.com/feed/podcast/ view source) and under the August 2nd item, it lists a few categories but not the "Podcasts" category. This even reflects in the main feed (http://wis-helpdesk.com/feed/), which is an indication this is a problem outside of PowerPress.

If you have plugins that do any caching, this is the time to disable them. Also you can follow these steps (http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/diagnosing-feed-andor-player-issues-with-powerpress/) to diagnose what is causing the problem.

I would triple check each post that it has the category selected though.

Actually, I now see the August 2nd in the podcasts category, maybe the problem fixed itself after you looked at the post?

The problem still there.. If you take a look at the article http://wis-helpdesk.com/stream-processing-poised-for-boost-from-internet-of-things/

you can't see the podcast player like you would in this post

    Good morning Angelo,

I just wanted to check in and see if you had any chance to review the problem?

Sure, did you follow these steps to figure out if it is a theme or plugin conflict?

    Steps: http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/diagnosing-feed-andor-player-issues-with-powerpress/

Worst case scenario, disable all plugins, switch to the twentytwelve or twentythirteen theme, if the player still doesn't appear in those particular posts but in others, there is definitely something wrong, either with your web server (caching at the server level and/or with your WordPress installation.

    Hi Angelo,
Yes I did follow all those steps. I switched themes but that didn't help. I also unplugged every single plugin and nothing changed.

    Wow, something is definitely wrong.

Did you ever enable any of the episode entry box settings? Perhaps you enabled the option to disable players and links on a per episode basis? You double checked your appearance settings to display the player below the posts?

Go ahead and disable all plugins except PowerPress, and switch to the twenty thirteen theme then send me a link to the page where the player is not appearing. Maybe the HTML is there just the HTMl is getting disabled somehow.
