• I’m stumped. I started with some Alex King CSS code on the Blogrolling site, and I’m happy with the way the links work. My site: http://www.chasingthewind.net
What I want to do now is add a graphic or text to indicate that one of the blogrolling blogs has been updated. When I do, though, I get some sort of line break. Take a look at the “News” blogrolling blogs; I’ve added (*) as the prefix. I get strong italics for the updated link, but the (*) appears on a separate line above the link. I want to have it inline, either within the first box or the outer box.
I’m stumped because the “View Source” on my browser only tells me there’s javascript code there instead of html code. I’m going to leave the blogrolling “News Blogs” section broken for a while; if somebody could give me a clue how to fix that, I’d appreciate it.

  • Carthik wrote an ‘updatelinkroll’ which could well do what you wish.

Thanks, but that’s not a solution for me – I’m not using the linkroll, and trying to import my blogrolling list gave me errors when I tried it a couple of months ago. I’m using the blogrolling javascript instead.

I don’t know the solution, but it happens on my site as well. For now, I’ve opted not to show a graphic or any difference in updated sites. I just order the sites by most recently updated.
I would be also interested in a solution to this problem.
    Thanks
