I've added several links and tagged them 'blogroll'.
They used to show up in the sidebar, and now they're not.

and sorry to be such a noob, but I joined this blog after it was set up by someone else and I don't know what version of WordPress it is.

    thanks!

I have the same problem with my links and blogroll not displaying even though they are saved in the admin area:

I've got the same problem. Changing themes didn't work, and the php and MySQL elements seem to be in place. The control panel shows blogroll, but there's nothing in the sidebar, and the widgets collection does not show a "blogroll widget."

I opened up a fee blog and wordpress.com

No Blogroll OR blogroll widget there, either.

    So, it's not us.

I meant to say, "I opened up a free blog account" at WordPress.com, and there was no blogroll widget for the template I chose there, either. So, it's not us."

The WordPress 1.6 Default Theme sidebar.php uses the template tag, wp_list_bookmarks(), to display the blogroll entries.

Might take a look at wp-content/themes/default/sidebar.php and use that in the selected theme.

If you are running your blog at wordpress.COM then maybe someone on the WordPress.COM support forums can suggest a better theme to use.
