   I would like to import my Shorty Stories site from Blogger to WordPress. The blogger site is hosted by Yahoo Small Business. I currently have another WordPress site, hosted by HostICan. Do I need to download any additional software in order to do so? Should I transfer my hosting to HostICan?

   You can import Blogger posts into WordPress using WordPress' import utility. Log into your WordPress, click on Manage, then Import, then Blogger, and follow the on-screen instructions...

   Do I have to start with a WordPress.com site first, and then transfer it over to WordPress.org? I want to make this as easy as possible.

   It doesn't matter. You can import data from your Blogger account into either your blog on WordPress.com (which runs WordPress MU) or a WordPress blog you installed on your own.
