[resolved] Blogger Import -- manual approach? (3 posts)

I've basically tried everything to successfully import Blogger data into WordPress 2.3 to no avail. The closest I came was to put my new blogger blog onto blogspot (from my godaddy host), and import it into wordpress-hosted wordpress (in hopes of exporting to my godaddy host later which somebody on the forum did successfully).

The import brought in all of the posts, but not one of the posts is complete (and with no real consistency of what's missing i.e. sometimes it includes only 2 pictures of 4, or no images at all, or only the second image in a series, etc.).

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Is there a way to transfer the data without WP's import script (i.e. a manual transfer)? I have fairly good knowledge of FTP transfers, directories, etc., and I have backups of my blogger database and files.

    Thanks!

Brilliant! Blogger to blogspot to wordpress-hosted (using WP import function) to export and save XML file to import wordpress-own-host (using same WP import function) is the ticket. Just when you think that it hasn't worked or that the data is too messy and broken to fix, try another WP template.

    Many thanks!!!!!
