I just posted to my new blog today. And, of course, no one can comment on it, for some unknown reason. I have searched on the forums and in the documentation, and I can't find anything. While I'm new to this (and especially coding), I was able to see that sometimes there are issues with free downloaded themes. Even after I put the theme to default, there still weren't any places to leave a comment. You can check out my blog at http://www.jumpingwaves.com Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It's a little embarrassing to start a new blog and have no comment ability!

Does your theme include a comments.php file? Have you enabled commenting in Admin/Settings/Discussion?

esmi, my theme does include a comments.php file. I have looked at it, but being new to this, coding is a foreign language to me! And I have enabled commenting in the Admin/Settings/Discussion as well.

The part that's confusing me is that you said you still didn't have a comment form on your single post pages when using the default theme. Can you confirm that again?

    Hi Esmi,

I did try activating the default theme again and it came up the same. Whenever I click on "0 Comments" it takes me straight to my link page. I do appreciate your help with this!

I think it's a permalink problem. Try resetting your custom permalinks to the default setting. If that works, then try reading:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks
before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.
