• I have created my WP blog and can address it from mysite.com/blog. When I enter this in my General URL area as the blog URL this address is then used for the blog page I created in the initial install with the Home page. However, the blog page URL becomes mysite.com/blog/blog/ and for Home mysite.com/blog/home. I have not designated a static home page and want the blog to operate as a link from my web site and to somehow allow a link in the Pages sidebar back to the main website. This would allow me to have the About page, link back to the main blog or posts and a link home to the main web site.

    Is this possible?

I am unable to edit the blog and home URL’s for this purpose.

  • Is the mysite.com/blog a directory? your post is rather confusing.

A link to the site so we can see the structure might help a bit.

Something is wrong in your settings.

Refer to this, double check the settings in the db to make sure that it is pointing to the single blog directory (mysite.com/blog) and not a double directory such as (mysite.com/blog/blog)

mysite.com/blog is the directory that contains my wordpress files. You can view the blog at http://www.briceconsulting.com/blog. I followed the install directions and created a home and blog page but I am not using the static page feature and want to address the blog or post page from a link on my web site (I am migrating from blogspot.com).

The blog and home page links appear on the right side of the blog but apparently those can only be wordpress links and not links out of the wordpress app. Do I delete the blog and home pages? How can I link back to my post page (after going to About for example)? How do I set up a link back to the web site?

Once I get the blog to function and would like to move my web site masthead/header and menu structure to the blog site so that it has the same look as the web site. This project is for another day.

    Thanks for your assistance.
