Blog text not being picked up by Google? (3 posts)

For some reason it appears Google is not picking up the text on any of my blog pages which seems to be having a negative effect with SEO. I have only just found this out and can't think why it would be doing this, all of the other pages in the site are being cached fine.

This is an example of one of my blog pages.
    http://www.mailroomadvisor.com/dm50-franking-machine

However, this is all that shows up when you look at the page google has cached.
    http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:YIrDfcQmJeIJ:www.mailroomadvisor.com/dm50-franking-machine+site:www.mailroomadvisor.com&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

But Google can obviously read the text as this is what you see when you click the text only link.

Can anyone shed any light as to why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance for your help

If you are using Firefox i recommend installing the "Web Developer" extension as well as "Nuke Anything Enhanced". Great tools for troubleshooting such issues. Looking at the code, the issue lies in the class post_top. There is a white div tag with that class that appears over top of the text. If you install Nuke Anything Enhanced you can right click in the empty white area and click "Remove this object" and you will see your text is there. Some debugging with the Web developer extension helped me narrow it to the div tag with the class name post_top. I'm not sure what function this div tag performs, but it is blocking the content in googles cache.

The good news is that google is indexing your content, just not displaying it properly
