   Is there a way to force the WP site to start on a page rather than on a post?

   Thanks for the quick reply. That worked -- mostly.

   Here's a link to the page I'm working on and would like to be my splash page: http://donpetersonphotography.com/blog/. Is there a way to keep the comment field from appearing on the page? I can't find any way to do it from my dashboard area and couldn't find anything after a search of the WP Web site.
