    Your link has is url ("http://something.jpg") try replacing the double quotes with singles so you have url ('http://something.jpg') instead.

    Big blue header and bricks?
    Your missing a } from your code:

    <style type="text/css" media="screen">
    body { background: url('http://zooyorkfreak.com/images/site/greybrick.jpg'); } <------add this
    </style>

    I quickly copied your theme locally to try and find the problem, I guess it was loading the blue-blob image from my files, so it looked like your header was blue.
    Glad it works now though :)
