I set up a ‘Site Moved’ page and asked the wordpress to be directed to that for a while.

I then reopened the site (or want to) so have tried to set the page to not be the front page, but the latest posts should be instead.

However, it keeps going to the page ‘Site Moved’ (which does not exist any more)

I have cleared the cache etc but it refuses point blank to allow the posts page to be the front page.

(At present I have a redirect on an html page to another site, so it cant be checked by anyone here unless they give me warning so I can remove it, as I cant let people keep going to a non page)

I know this has been mentioned in the forum here many months ago but I cannot find the post, sorry.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting your permalinks?

It was the plugin redirection. Thank you. I remembered as soon as I found out what was causing it, that was also the answer in the last post about it here.

Glad you got it sorted. 🙂
