[resolved] Blog permalink reverts causing too many redirects (3 posts)

I have some blogs that constantly end up in "too many redirects" warnings and similar error messages. What fixes this problem? Going to permalinks and selecting custom, putting in the post name, clicking submit and we're in business again and no redirects. It shows in WP the post name afterwards and it's fine. Then for an unknown reason I get this happening again out of the blue. Same remedy and it works again for an undefined period of time until it happens again.

I've seen it happen to others here and I'm wondering if others have discovered a cause for this.

Of note - I just found this concerning the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. For some reason it is a problem on some blogs but not others. I will try to turn off the category fix. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/too-many-redirects-error-and-permalinks?replies=25

Check if have redirect problem if you turn off or delete the SEO plugin. Watch for some time/ days if the problem occurs again. If that does not help, contact your hosts as this intermittent behavior is most likely caused by your server.

Thanks - I've looked at all the blogs. It appears that I'm somehow controlling the categories with another plugin. It appears the Yoast one causes problems and best to disable and use another one that works globally.
