• I got the “Blog pages show at most” set to 3, but on my blog page it shows more than the amount I established to display. Why is that? Don’t have any idea how to fix this.

    Regards!

  • do you have any ‘sticky’ posts?
    what theme are you using?
does the theme have its own options?

    Hi alchymyth!

    – I don’t think my post are sticky.

    – I’m using the Dateless Sniper theme.

    – The theme doesn’t have his own options.

there is nothing in home.php of your theme to indicate that the ‘posts per page’ value from the readings settings will not get followed.

is there always the same post at the top, even if you add newer posts?
or is it always the latest post?
how many posts are showing on the front page?

how many posts are showing in the archive pages?

can you post a link to your site to illustrate the problem?

Alchymyth: on the frontpage it show 5 posts when it’s supposed to show only 3. Let me give you the whole code of the home.php of my blog section. Maybe you can find something that I still don’t.

I’m working my site on localhost and it’s not online, sadly.

how many posts are on page 2? (obviously only possible, if you have more than 5 posts in total, and a ‘prev posts’ button)

what happens if you deactivate all plugins?

at the top it shows the new post and at the bottom the old one.
