[resolved] "Blog pages show at most" selection not responding (11 posts)

When I set the amount of blog pages to I want to show on my homepage,
diabeticssupportsocks.com, to "1", I still have all posts (12) showing. However, when I click on any of my "Recent Posts" links, each page shows by itself as it should.

As the "Reading settings" don't seem to be responding, is there something in my "templates" or "widgets" that I can tweek to affect that change?

    Thanks.

It's possible your theme is not adhering to the Blog pages show at most setting. If you change to the WordPress Default theme does it work?

    MichaelH-

    Thanks for your response.

No it doesn't change when I activate the WP Default theme. All of the posts appear regardless of what theme I activate.

Makes me think a plugin is causing the problem.

MichaelH and ryans149. Somehow in the midst of messing around with things my template disappeared and all that is showing is the bare bones text and images and I can't log onto my site.

As soon as I figure out what went wrong with that, I will go back into my plugins and deactivate them.

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

to deactivate the plugins, you can just rename them

I've come across a couple of cases where an apparently inactive plugin has continued to cause problems. Sometimes, only the Phpmyadmin route seems to work.

I uploaded the phpMyAdmin per the instructions in the link you provided, but the steps they outline or over my head.

Thanks. I will do that as a last resort. For now I just want to be able to log-in.
