Blog Page to Display 1 Category of Posts

G’day
I am a guitar teacher running the following site http://www.theflamencogypsy.com/

I Would like to display only a select category of posts on my home page and then have all the other categories in menu’s. That why only some of my posts are visible to certain viewer. ie my students can search for their resources category, but venues looking to hire don’t see all my posts on the main page, only the ones I would add able my success (rather then my reviews)
