Blog page only showing 2 old posts, not new ones (4 posts)

    I have a site at http://www.splashoutblog.co.uk and though there are about half a dozen posts on there, the front page only shows two, the first and third to be posted.

    I am only a beginner with CSS but I can't see anything in the code to stop it working properly. I've got the "reading" settings set to 10 blog posts and extracts only. I also have another page set to show all blog posts and they all show up on there, it's jsut on the homepage that I have this problem.

    If anyone could take a look and help me out that would be fab - I've already spent hours trying to work out what's wrong!
    Thanks :)

    The code is here: http://wordpress.pastebin.com/UMfxhhQW

    I think you use a static front page? is this correct? In the page template file (page.php or a custom page template) that is used for the static front page you have to tell wordpress what posts to show with a query post or it will just show the Page content.

    It's not static - it's the original template page file, I just changeds the rest of the pages! So the front page is the index.php file.

    The code for the post bit looks like this

    '
    <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>

    <div class="post" id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    <h2 class="title">" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title_attribute(); ?>">
    <?php the_title(); ?>
    </h2>
    <p class="meta"><span class="date">
    <?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?>
    </span><span class="posted">Posted by
    <?php the_author() ?>
    </span></p>
    <div class="entry">
    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
    <p class="links"> " rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>" class="more">Read full article <b>    |    </b>
    <?php comments_popup_link('No Comments', '1 Comment', '% Comments', 'comments'); ?>
    </p>
    </div>
    </div>

    <?php endwhile; ?>
    '
