Blog Page Is Blank (7 posts)

    Hi all,
Recently got my page up and running (www.thecakeempire.co.uk) but the bloke who set it up for me has now abandoned me to clean up the cosmetics on my own. Although he's left me with a rather large blog-shaped gap. It just doesn't show anything.
I've tried writing a post and publishing it but all there is is a blank page with a non-loading image type of box.
I'm not totally useless with code etc but I do sort of need kid gloves with this as I'm still learning. If anyone could help with possible resolution I'd be so grateful but please use idiots-guide language for me!
    Thanks in advance everyone
    Helen

It seems your site is incomplete
    and any parts are missing...

Let's try to fix it one by one.
First it looks like your theme is one of Elegant Themes.
To check, can you log in the backend and check if you can see
    "SimplePress Theme Options" under Appearance?

Once we found it, we can go further from there.

I can't thank you enough for responding so quickly! thank you thank you!
Yes, you're completely right it's Elegant Themes Simplepress! I can get to Appearance> Simplepress theme options from my dashboard...I then have the following tabs down the left hand side menu:

General Settings (General, Homepage, Featured Slider)
    Navigation (pages, categories, general settings)
Layout (single post layout, single page layout, general settings)
    Ad Management
    Colourization (colourization)
SEO (homepage SEO,single post page SEO, index page SEO)
    Integration (Code integration)
    Support Docs (installation, troubleshooting, tutorials)

    Thanks again!

As this is a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme vendors.

Thanks Esmi - I'd love to search on the Elegant Themes forum but I am not a paid up member and don't really want to spend $39 signing up. I'm not sure how it works but the guy who designed the site for me initially (not very well!) would have chosen the theme. Maybe he has the login details?

If he used the them on your site, then you should have a copy of that login. As it's a commercial theme, we cannot access or download it.

    Hey thecakeempire,

As esmi said, if it's commercial theme, we don't usually have access to it so we couldn't help you a lot.

But I'm helping many of my clients who's using Elegant Themes including myself, so I would be able to help you :)

Can you please paste code from
    - index.html
    - includes/entry.php
    Please use pastebin.com

Also click SimplePress Theme Options under Appearance,
and check if "Blog Style post format" is enabled (under General Settings).
