• Hi there. I am having a problem with my static page being displayed on my blog page. I’ve gone to Settings > Reading and switched it over to have a “Home” page and a “Blog” page. But, when I do that, both the blog page and the home page show up as the same page (the static page). I tried renaming both pages and changing the template name to no avail. I know for certain it’s a theme issue because I switched over to the twenty eleven theme and the static page/blog page worked on it.

I am building my wordpress theme using Starkers HTML5.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi eristic,

Have you made sure the pages you’re using are implementing different page templates? It’s possible they are both set to default and therefore displaying duplicate content.

You can change the page templates in the Page Attributes box on the edit-page screen.

    Hi Drew,

Thanks for the prompt response. I have indeed checked to make sure they are set to different templates. “Blog” is lined up with “blog” and “Home” is lined up with “home”. Not exactly sure what is going on…

Can you provide us with a link to your site?

I’m designing on localhost right now, but I can get it live for you. I’ll post the link in a bit. Thanks!
