I dont know how to describe this technically, but I'll take a stab at it!
I have static pages in WordPress which other people maintain and contribute info on. I wanted to know if there is a way to add a blog onto a wordpress page.

There is only one blog and its name is blog. ;)
The question is how do you want to separate the normal blog content from the page blog content? All posts are just posts, after all, but all pages are posts too.
If you wanted, you could set aside a special category and then only show stuff from that category on the blog page. Basically you just need to add a second loop to a page template which you then use for that page.
