   I am a blogging newbie. This request may be in the wrong forum. If so will some helpful person offer me an appropriate re-direction? Thanks.
   I have bought a .com and .co.uk domains. I am using WordPress and like it greatly. I am with a great web-hosting outfit. When I was setting up either the hosts or WP gave my blog the address in the form of http://blog.xxxxxx.com
   This is not of the form that I expected such as for example http://yglesias.thinkprogress.org/ .
   a) Can I/should I get rid of the “blog.” prefix?
   b) I fear that with that prefix I will not get proper exposure to search engines et. Am I right?
   Thanks for any advice on what is probably a silly question.
