My blog http://howiebarte.com/WordPress has been loading more and more slowly. Even getting to the Dashboard is a burden.
it wasn't always like this but it's getting dramatically worse.
Can you help?

You'll need to give some more info..
Have you tried disabling ALL plugins? Firewall or blocker plugins are most likely candidates..
It could be a hosting issue, also.
Removed your email address as replies should stay on the forums, and am moving you to the how-to section.

I just tried to go on to the dashboard at and got a message that said "Error establishing a database connection", so I can't even get to the point where I can check my plug-ins. I never got that error before, but now I'm getting repeatedly. And I don't have any new plugins.
I am getting reports that others are having a tough time getting onto my blog.
Is there a tech support number I can call?
Dunno what else to do...

Contact your hosting provider and ask them if the database server is offline.
