   2 blogs are down. Hoster is the same. Reinstallation did not help and stopped at step 2.
   I fond that the problem with installation is with make_db_current_silent().
   Exited forum are down on any DB query. Now error is displayed. Just "DNS error" in IE.

   what is 'down' ?
   broken ? never worked ? did work then stopped ?
   And if the Host is dead, then your site would be anyway ?

   There was a site. Suddenly it has been broken. May be hoster updated PHP or Mysql.
   I tried to install new "fresh" WordPress to find the problem.
   You can try installation. It stops at step 2. And the problem is with make_db_current_silent(). When commented out then errors on INSERTs etc.

   Also I can mention that standard PHP access to mysql is working.
   There is a Coopermine Photo Gallery http://www.thinking.ru/photo/ in the same MySQL database.
