    Hey folks!

    I just returned from a long trip and noticed that the blog section of my website is not working for some reason (all the other pages on the site are fine). This is the message that I get:

    "Forbidden
    You don't have permission to access /blog/ on this server.

    Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.33 Server at protectingveil.com Port 80"

    Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    I'm having problems too but it's not just the WordPress page, it's EVERYTHING on my site that's gone. Every image and file that I uploaded to the site is missing.

    @Frognose,
    Yours is the only site that I visited among the other posters and I know for sure that it worked with the latest version of Suffusion. So since it doesn't work now, you probably edited some of the core theme PHP files and broke the theme.

    @Protecting Veil and @tecweston,
    Are both of you facing problems with Suffusion or are your statements generic in nature? Mind you, 403 errors have nothing to do with the theme, particularly when both of you state that you revisited your site after a long time.

    @sayontan,

    Hmmm...well...I am not using the Suffusion theme, if that's what you're asking...I'm using Thematic. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be?

    Thanks!

    I worked on our site yesterday and installed a new theme that we bought from Studiopress. I installed widgets and worked all day. Today, I cannot get to my site at all. I don't know if the server is down, like it says could be the reason, or if it is trying to log me on automatically with an invalid username and password. I never get to the site to even login. If anyone knows, please help quickly. I am working on this site for an internship and don't have time to mess around waiting. Thank you for any help.

    Joan

    @joanjett,
    Have you tried contacting your host? Or the StudioPress folks?

    Is it possible that thematic doesn't work with WordPress 3.0. My client upgraded his site to 3.0 and it doesn't work anymore.....

    Wow. There's a whole mess of stuff here. Most of you folk have completely different problems. Please start your own threads to discuss different issues.

    The original 403 issue is most likely a hosting problem. Best to contact the hosting provider concerned.

    Thanks @mrmist!
    So...I called my hosting provider and they looked at my install and said that everything's fine...unfortunately, my site is totally mia at this point. What should I be asking them to do exactly?
    Thanks again!

    @Protecting Veil: Tell that that you are unable to access your blog because of a 403 error. In the meantime, try:

    - switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    @esmi moderator and @mrmist,

    Thanks, again! After wasting 45 minutes on the phone with my hosting company, I decided to try deactivating all my plugins and reactivating them one by one. I found the culprit! The "Redirection" plugin automatically redirects to a /blog page, which doesn't exist. I even reinstalled it, and it automatically did the same thing! I found a different 301 redirect plugin and learned a valuable lesson...too bad it ate up so much time!
