   I'm trying to move my old wordpress installation (alredy version 2.7) to a new server. Therefore I changed the settings at the old server (updated the two urls values), copied all the files to the new location, moved the databases and modified the wp-config.php file. But now it's redirecting to wp-admin/install.php and showing up as "Welcome to the installation".

   The folder where the existing blog were copied to is a folder where I checked out wordpress via svn before, so I overwrote some files of the plain software.

   Check the table prefix in your database against the prefix in your config.php file to ensure your config matches the db.

   Thanks for your answer, but that's not the problem. I just started the installation, because I was curious what would happen. But it crashed with the message, that the db tables are already set up.

   (and I did not change the prefix, it's still "wp_")
