I upgraded my 2.92 MPU to wordpress 3.0 and everything seems to be ok except one of the site, only running a few.
It has blog as the URL to get to the site, I am using the "folders" method and not subdomains.
http://www.mysite.com/blog
The URL keeps coming up with a 404 error and doesn't look like it is actually working.
I created other sites and they seem just fine, just seems that one site with "blog" as a url.
The /blog/ url is reserved for the main blog's permalinks.
In other words, don;t make a blog called /blog/ - it's already there.
Darn thought that was the case.
thank you for the answer.
ok thought it was the case that it was a reserved "name"
Ok good to know and hopefully next time someone looks up the answer they
will know not to use /blog/ for a site in the multi site.

I don't think it's a good feature!
I have an old blog in a subfolder named "blog", well indexed, with all permalinks defined in my blog... How to solve?
I'm planning to upgrade to WordPress 3.0, but now I don't know what to do...
Any workarounds?
Why use this fixed constraint and not an option?
If I understand correctly, you installed your WordPress in a subfolder named 'blog', meaning that it's located under http://www.domain.com/blog/. Assuming you're upgrading that blog to WP3, you should have no problems. The url http://www.domain.com/blog/blog/ will be reserved for your main blog at http://www.domain.com/blog/.
