I had issues with my website and managed to put that back together after reverting to an older backup.
Now my blog has stopped working altogether. I can't even log onto my WP-Admin. I'm waiting to hear from my host but is there anything I can do?
For one I dont want to delete all of my content and have to start again. I can access the content via FTP and looks like everything is still there. When I try to access my blog it just seems to time out and IE gives me null answers.
Anyone help with my situation please?

click on "member" under your name
next page - click "edit" on far right
next page - fix it
your content is in the database - not the files, so your content should be safe
how about a url?

I can't change my username, it only lets me change my real name.

this works
http://www.kenghaywong.co.uk/blog/wp-login.php
so maybe save your .htaccessfile - then delete it from server and test

worked! OMG, I was getting desperate and looking for companies to fix this!
The admin did not work before I deleted it but everything is back to normal!
What is the .htaccessfile for?

permalinks set your url structure in the .htaccess file (plus you can use it for many other things)
