I am maintaing a site located here
The site's owner posted a blog today, which can be seen under the posting "Six Word Memoir for Handpieces". As you can see, the posting contains a line in bold italics, as well as a link (to npr) within the posting. But these only seem to appear if accessed through Recent Posts. If accessed through Categories or Archives, everything is just plain text. How do I get this fixed so that it appears properly regardless of the route taken?

Read this:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
and study which template files (like index.php, category.php etc are in your directory: /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/
As far as I know Atuahalpa has a lot of Options/Settings through the Dashboard.
In short: your category and archive view sem to use an excerpt of the post (without images, text makeup, links etc) where the index/frontepage view and the singe post view show all that. Not uncommon for themes but for these very short postings it looks funny.
