    my blog: http://www.joshgilson.com

I was running version 2.0.11 on an old server and last night changed to a new server running 2.5.0

I downloaded everything (using dreamweaver) on my computer, every directory, every files, etc.

I then installed 2.5 on the new server, variefied that it worked, then uploaded 100% of the "old" content, but then after it's all uploaded it doesn't work. The page just turns all white.

Please help me get all my posts and blog back! Thanks you upfront for your help!

Start over with a read of Moving_WordPress.

You might also consider using a proper FTP client instead of DW...

You are doing two different things, upgrading and moving, at the same time. I would install 2.0.11 at a new server after moving and then upgrade to 2.5.0. or upgrade to 2.5.0. before moving to a new server.

ok, so do instal 2.0.11 in my directory, then upload all my files over writing them or the other way around? Also when do I use the install.php or do I use the upgrade.php file?

I would install 2.0.11 and then upload wp-content from old host. But you may also want to read instructions on how to move host to backup specific files. If you don't do it right, order of articles will be initialized. I think somebody has posted a good tutorial like saving a cache file and working on htaccess... I would back up the database twice with an export plugin and also with phpAdmin.

Okay, you may want to follow Mr. Solo's hyperlink and read under 'Moving WordPress Within Your Site' and No. 10.
