    My site (http://www.airdrie.net) has suddenly died on me - except the splash page which is in the domain root directory. When I go to the main blog (in http://www.airdrie.net/weblog2) directory there is nothing on the page.
    I notice in cpanel that I have several htacess files (some with several digits following it) but the main one shows the following entry:
    # -FrontPage-

    IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all

    order deny,allow
    deny from all

    AuthName www.airdrie.net
    AuthUserFile /home/airdrie/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /home/airdrie/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp

    Any ideas what's hapened.

    You have problem with php on your webserver. Have your server provider to rectify this problem. Probablly recompile of php or restart of http service would solve the problem.

    Thanks Webhostinguk. I will ask my ISP before trying anything else.

    Help!! My ISP says they cannot help me with 3rd party scripts??

    Had a reply back from my ISP:
    Turning on error reporting in WordPress (line 66 of /public_html/wp-settings.php ) shows the error message:

    Notice: Undefined index: page in /home/airdrie/public_html/weblog2/wp-content/plugins/democracy/democracy.php on line 754

    This indicates a problem with one of the plugins you have installed. This is not a fault on our servers. We cannot assist with third party scripts.
    Has anyone any ideas?

    sure. go to your wp-content/plugins directory and remove the democracy plugin and see if that fixes things?

    Thanks HandySolo but I've tried that and still no luck. Is it worthwhile/madness to try running upgrade.php again for WP 2.0.4?

    runnign upgrade.php again wont make any problems but it may solve the existing problem as it will try to place some of the lost files back in their place.

    Tried the upgrade.php but still no joy. Interestingly, I can still login to the site without any problems and the Dashboard is fine (and other tabs).

    2 things to try at this point:

    1) Disable ALL plugins

    2) Switch theme to something like Default or Classic.

    (after the theme switch, be sure to clear your local browser cache)

    Befor I disabled all plugins, I changed the theme to the Default and all was OK. Guess it must be something introduced into the Notebook theme I was using. Can I take it I'll need to deactivate my plugins then?

    I eventually tracked down my original "header.php" code from the theme zip file and replaced the existing one and it worked!
    Found a piece of code in the header file (the problem one) showing this:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">
    <!--
    function MM_jumpMenu(targ,selObj,restore){ //v3.0
    eval(targ+".location='"+selObj.options[selObj.selectedIndex].value+"'");
    if (restore) selObj.selectedIndex=0;
    }

    //--></script>

    I assume this is what caused the problem.
    Anyone know what it is - I can only think it may be part of a plugin I installed.
    Otherwise (hopefully) the problem is resolved.
