    Hi
I've spent the last few days looking at various free and premium WP themes for a blog that I want to start, it will be mostly about photography and I need to be able to mix text and images in every post.

So I would need to drag and drop an image into my text or be able to link to it without much trouble.

Something similar to what I want to do is the strobist blog, I apologise(!!) it's a blogger template

Also I need social media widgets, flickr stream thumbnails.

Most importantly I want this to be a BLOG not a portfolio website.

Can anybody please recommend a blog-centric WP theme (free or premium) that has the above capabilities. I already have a portfolio website, I don't need another one :)

Or should I try and develop my own.

    TIA

    David

  2. I think that the site you've pointed is pretty simple and most free WP themes should suffice. Using the filter in the WP theme repo I found this - http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/tag-filter/

The theme on blogger, would be re-created simply by having posts with images inserted throughout and then you would set up widgets as you need them in the sidebar.

Please note that on the site that you linked as an example, when they display images in grids.. that's much easier to do in Photoshop. If you try to get the images all to line up and look pretty, you'll pull your hair out.

    Goo luck.
