   Upon upgrading to wordpress 2.7, I can still post to my wordpress blog using xmlrpc with word 2007. I know word and my blog are communicating with each other, but for some reason when I try to insert a category the drop down menu gives me (no entries). I've ensured that my remote publishing for xml-rpc is turned turned on in my writing settings.

   What else can I be doing to try and fix this on my end?

   **Extra Info**

   I downloaded windows live writer and that program is able to see my categories using xml-rpc. So it would seem that there is probably something askew with word and wp2.7

   Problem resolved. Word needs to have descriptions assigned to categories to see them when posting with xmlrpc. Sorry for the false alarm

   Grab an updated copy of xmlrpc.php for 2.7:

   http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress/branches/2.7/xmlrpc.php

   That should take care of the problem.
