Hi everyone,
is it possible to put your blog behind a login/pass? is there an easy way to do this? I'm not a total techie (can you tell?) but I do know a little bit of html and general net stuff. So don't worry about offending me if you dumb it down :o) lol

I'm new to WordPress, but I would suggest protecting the directory of your WP install with a .htaccess file:

Thanks for the links. Re .htaccess is there a good easy tutorial that will be good for beginners?
re plugins/rest. can you be a bit more specific? I checked it out and couldn't find one that addressed my specific need.

Well, on my computer the very first one at the top of the page I've linked, reads:
Allows you to make your content accessible only to registered and logged in users.
