    Hi everyone,

is it possible to put your blog behind a login/pass? is there an easy way to do this? I'm not a total techie (can you tell?) but I do know a little bit of html and general net stuff. So don't worry about offending me if you dumb it down :o) lol

    TIA

I'm new to WordPress, but I would suggest protecting the directory of your WP install with a .htaccess file:

Thanks for the links. Re .htaccess is there a good easy tutorial that will be good for beginners?

re plugins/rest. can you be a bit more specific? I checked it out and couldn't find one that addressed my specific need.

Thanks again for being so helpful (and fast).

Well, on my computer the very first one at the top of the page I've linked, reads:
Allows you to make your content accessible only to registered and logged in users.

Ketracel - generally speaking I would go with suggestion of Moshu. If you are interested in .htaccess, however, try here:
